Product Engineering for Ambitious Teams in India

Work with an India-based product engineering team for websites, mobile apps, custom software, MVPs and practical AI integration.

Vedspace is an India-based product engineering team. For organisations here, that means a partner working in your timezone, familiar with local platform and compliance realities. For teams elsewhere, it means access to a deep engineering market with a substantial working-hours overlap with Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

01

Building for Indian users

Products used at scale in India face conditions that reshape design decisions. Connectivity is uneven and often intermittent, a large share of users are on mid-range Android devices with constrained storage, and data cost still influences behaviour. That pushes toward smaller payloads, offline tolerance, careful app size and interfaces that degrade gracefully rather than assuming a fast connection. Language coverage, script rendering and number and date formats matter for reach, and payments are shaped by UPI and local gateways rather than by card-first assumptions common elsewhere.

02

Regulation and where data lives

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act sets obligations around consent, purpose limitation and the handling of personal data, and sector rules add more in finance, health and education. Data residency requirements are decided early because they constrain cloud region, provider choice and how third-party services, including AI providers, may be used. We treat these as architectural inputs rather than as a compliance review at the end, since retrofitting a data boundary after a system is built is expensive and often partial.

03

Working with an India-based team

The engineering market here is deep across web, mobile, cloud and data, which makes it practical to assemble a team with genuinely relevant experience rather than the nearest available people. For overseas clients the working day overlaps substantially with Europe, the Middle East and much of Asia, and partially with the eastern United States, so review cycles run daily rather than weekly. We work in English throughout, with written decisions and inspectable progress so distance does not become opacity.
