What to include when you get in touch
A few lines about what you are trying to achieve, roughly where things stand and anything that fixes the shape of the project will get a more useful reply than a general enquiry. Useful specifics include whether a system already exists, whether a date is driven by something real, who inside your organisation will be involved, and any constraint you already know about. If you are comparing several teams, saying so is helpful rather than awkward; it tells us what would actually be useful to send you.
