Meerahini sells luxury suits and dresses and needed a site its own team could keep current. Vedspace built meerahini.com on WordPress for Manisha Somra, and supported the social advertising and promotional email work around it.
The deciding factor was who would run the site afterwards. A luxury range changes with seasons and stock, and a platform the client's own team can edit confidently is worth more than a bespoke system that needs a developer for every update. WordPress put day-to-day control with the client, which is where it belongs for a catalogue that changes often.
Luxury products are judged on how they are shown, so the design gave photography room and kept the interface quiet around it. Pages were structured so that collections can grow without the navigation degrading, and image handling was set up to keep the site quick despite being image-led.
Vedspace also supported social media advertising and promotional emailers for Meerahini. As with any retail site, the traffic source and the return path matter as much as the storefront itself, so they were planned together rather than bolted on afterwards.
